Laminate has improved in recent years and can be nearly as good as hardwood.
A laminated desktop i got with my uplift desk to a plywood diy desktop because it looked hideous compared to the bamboo on my other desk.
Because its a real natural material it will show wear after a while.
Warranty is attractive customer service seems solid and looks to be more sturdy than jarvis.

The thing is the bamboo in that size puts me out of price range as i m after all the additional extras on the desk too like extended arms memory buttons etc so i think i m going for the laminate version as it s within my budget.
Leaning towards rubberwood because i like the darker look and it seems harder than bamboo.
Right now i m requesting a replacement with bamboo but i m also interested in hearing about people s experience with laminate.

I ve settled on the jarvis but i m after a bigger desktop size of 72 x 30 rather than 60 x 30.
Does anyone know how durable a bamboo desk top is compared to other types of desktops like laminate or powder coated.
The main type of damage i am concerned about are scratches and dents on the surface of the desk.
