Basin electric power cooperative has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is for dependent children of. To be eligible the student must be currently in college or entering college in fall 2019. Northern plains electric cooperative and basin electric power cooperatives are offering a 1 000 scholarship to a dependent of a member of northern plains electric for the 2020 2021 school year. Basin electric power cooperative bepc provides a scholarship to be awarded by hce annually to a member s dependent.

Now in its 28th year basin electric s scholarship program recognizes and encourages academic and community achievements of more than 180 students in the region. Member cooperative employees 20 scholarships. Eligible applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full time graduate or undergraduate program at an accredited two year or four year college university or vocational technical school. With this application students need to have maintained at least a 3 8 grade point average.

Twenty five 1 000 scholarships go to children of basin electric or its subsidiary employees. Basin electric offers scholarships for dependent children of employees of basin electric and its subsidiaries who are in college or will be entering college in the fall. Basin electric scholarship in addition basin electric will be awarding a 1000 scholarship to one student in the southeast colorado power association member territory. Basin electric is a consumer owned and controlled regional cooperative responsible for supplying wholesale electric power to nine midwestern states.
